Weymouth Design Exhibits at Introduction to Investor Relations

<br />

Every year the National Investor Relations Institute runs biannual events targeted at new IR professionals. Weymouth Design exhibited September 20-23 at the NIRI event in Boston covering the fundamentals of IR, including marketing, communication, and finance.  Over 110 delegates, 23 speakers, and 10 exhibitors participated. The seminar featured panels and presentations from a range of  New England-based publicly traded companies, investors, and higher education institutions, and featured panels and presentations covering the basics of investor relations. Given the educational theme we focused on the “how to” of effective IR communications with brochures and a series of blog articles on “Compelling Presentations” and “How to make your CEO look good” –- whether in front of a video camera or digital camera. We have found this annual seminar a great teaching moment in terms of getting new information on IR trends, presenting data and case studies, and starting a dialogue with up-and-coming communication professionals.

“Many of the conversations I had with delegates were on the topics of leveraging investor websites, video on the web, road show presentations, and annual reports to help investors understand investment stories quicker.”
–- Graham Schelter, Account Director/Director of Business Development, Weymouth Design.

Aimed at both new and seasoned IR and PR professionals, “How to make your CEO look good,” was released at the event. Many of the points included in the brochure are featured on this blog.

This year we offered two types of massage devices as gifts for stopping by. Both concentrated on different pressure points of the body. In this economy we can all use a little stress relief.
